Dr. Belinda Chiu is a social entrepreneur and strategist. Her passions and experiences lie in

  • Advocating for greater food consciousness
  • Developing culturally competent leaders through human capital consulting and coaching
  • Moderating strategic ideation and planning discussions
  • Advising for improved organizational processes
  • Identifying, recruiting, and evaluating talent
  • Facilitating market ethnographic research

Dr. Chiu has worked in and for the public and private sectors, as well as academia. She has worked with organizations, such as Columbia University, Dartmouth College, Dove Consulting Group, Sesame Workshop, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. She has over twelve years of experience in graduate and undergraduate school admissions, corporate recruitment, and career advisement. Additionally, she brings her experience researching and advising to:

  • International educational and global program development;
  • Tertiary educational institutions;
  • Consumer packaged companies, particularly the food and beverage industry;
  • Children’s educational media;
  • Non-profits and associations.

Dr. Chiu graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in Government with Honors. She received her Master in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she concentrated in International Education Management and Entrepreneurship and International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. She received her Ed.D. in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, setting a department record for successful completion of her degree. A leader and member of various civic organizations, she is also trained in mediation and focus group facilitation. She was the recipient of Dartmouth College’s Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award and was the youngest person featured in Working World: Careers in International Education, Exchange, and Development (2008) by Sherry Mueller, Ph.D. and Mark Overmann. An avid traveler and food enthusiast, she is fluent in Cantonese and proficient in Spanish.
